Health and Safety Awareness Training for Contractors

Hazard Communication (HazCom) is defined as the communication of chemical hazards by employers, to employees. Employers are required to have a HazCom training program which educates their employees on topics such as interpreting information on chemical warning labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and on identifying signs and symptoms of chemical exposure. This course, developed by the OPCMIA, is designed to teach contractors what their responsibilities are regarding HazCom training, as well as informing them on the recently updated OSHA HazCom standard (CFR 29 1910.1200). This course also now aligns with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals.
